The Poor Knights islands are designated a Marine Reserve below water and a Wildlife Reserve above water. These volcanic islands were named by Jacques Cousteau as one of the top 10 dive sites in the world. The islands are located 23km off the beautiful Tutukaka Coast in Northland, New Zealand. 

The abundance of friendly fish and other colourful tropical and subtropical sea life never fails to astound and amaze divers and snorkelers alike. The underground caves, tunnels and archways provide a diverse range of terrain for underwater explorers of all levels. This is New Zealand's premium dive location and with over 100 sites it should be a must-do on the itinerary of all divers visiting Northland.

Dive! Tutukaka's professional dive boats depart Tutukaka Marina daily at 8am. High quality equipment, air and lunch, can be supplied. The Dive! Tutukaka operation is Qualmark rated and includes experienced instructors and guides free of charge.
